Still thoughts about Winter retreat…

Winter as we know is normally cold time. Means the body has to start the internal heater means it needs more energy (Qi) to do the job of warming well. In my clinic this is the time patients with cold, influenza or infection of throat or ears coming now most. After interview it becomes quite clear why these people are catching easily the counted diseases. Most of them where not following the nature rhythm. Like the added list (Winter mistakes) in my blog before they doing more then half of it. Explanation like: „I read in a health magazine it is good to take fresh vitamins daily via fresh fruits, fruit juice or salad in specially in winter to avoid sickness “ and I always smilingly answering: „And way you are here now if its right what the so called health or fitness magazine is saying?“ The few thousands year knowledge is proved from many critic but still existing and means it is tested from millions of humans. In the past they had no idea of vitamins or minerals but the sensitivity to be with the nature and follow the nature. The people of today are believing the magazines, newspaper and internet following the advices blind. They lost the ability to listen to actually need of their body. Qi Gong, meditation or yoga are good arts to get back to nature flow of sensitivity within our body. Of course you have to find high level teacher or master of the art for a good result. If you get more and more sensitive to your energy flow more and more your live will change even without any influence of external information. Listen and the answers will come by itself because of trained senses from your performed high level art. Trust yourself is becoming more and more a part of your live and you will less dependent of external information.

Few examples who are showing easily body energy reaction. Winter outside cold and you take also inside cold means the body has to work twice as hard to warm you or to keep you healthy. Its like an army who battle against to enemies in two direction. This wrong action of the most people during the winter season is by observing and experience the main factor to get sick in the cold season.

Because we don´t living with the nature we lost the rhythm of it. In all area we got for example the same or similar temperature regulated by heater or air con. This makes us feel of comfortable but also we are losing the sensitivity for the real energetic nature action. We wearing wrong clothes eating wrong food or drinks. Of course we are realizing the early sunset in Winter but the lights everywhere let us easily forget about it. The few hours of sunlight is showing us actually the action time during winter. You see its quite short. But we have to follow of course working hours rhythm in a tact of society.

Thats why we have to take care more about us in the not working hours. In Winter at least 1h or better 2h earlier to bed. This is for recharging the battery, whats our Kidneys. Winter time Kidney time very important to understand. Anyway each night the Qi (vital -energy) get stored in the Kidney for a later use. In Wintertime the storing is special powerful like I said already its the time of water-element means Kidney / Bladder. Like in hole nature the stored Qi is waiting for the next start ready for the autumn when the active action is starting again.

Avoid following winter mistakes:

  • less sleep
  • eating tropical fruits
  • drinking green tea
  • working overtime
  • cold feeds
  • not to go for a walk
  • cold drinks
  • to much action
  • night clubbing

Winter retreat…

Yes, the winter is the time to retreat.This is living with the nature in daoist way. But not only in the daoist philosophy the western people had done the same. To cold outside on the fields nothing to do. Staying home and preparing the working tools for the coming spring when the field work will start again.

Time to have rest to talk and exchange more as usual with family members and reading books as well go earlier to bed. This is like it should be in winter time. Today the most people make no different between the seasons because no need they thinking. Working as much sleeping same hours like usual. They gonna miss a period of energy charging who is needed for body, energy (Qi) and mind. One reason for the spring tiredness. The human did not get the needed rest in winter. Drinking tea, reading book with a candle light many dreaming of it but the most do not bring in to action. I hope you are not one of these people and wish a recreative winter time. Stay relaxed and happy….

Cold and flu time…hatschiieeee

The time of catching cold and flu is now present. In autumn and winter my clinic is full of these sickness or symptoms. Most people starting to late to change their clothes into warmer ones. Understandable because autumn can be very beautiful and sometime also warm during the day. So its not easy to make the right decision every morning before leaving the house. But to avoid the external evil like wind and cold you should be covered warm and when its getting warm you just take off some layers. If I´m looking out of my window at early morning I see the fog and dampness actually very beautiful after sunrise the fog and dampness slowly disappeared. Before leaving house look out of the window then you should choose your clothes.

  • take a warm drinks before leaving the house
  • wind covering clothes
  • take more ginger in drinks and food

After slow moving forward with the queue somehow I reach after hours with ice cubes as feeds and hands the entrance of the paradise. Mc Donald here I´m please let me in first to warming up second to fill my belly with food. The guard at the front door were looking not very amused with their red frozen faces they just have to do their job. Every time the entrance door was getting opened the typical smell flutter over to penetrate my nose senses and my mouth starts to water after now fifteen hours empty stomach. Closer to the entrance the people were becoming more nervous the movement from one foot to the other and the hand rubbing was looking like winter winding toys. The foggy breath of the people were up rising like from chimney stack and it seems to me that even my ear sense were frozen. The sounds of live was somehow like listen behind cotton my brain was frozen so very little thoughts arising during the waiting hours. I should learn to meditate in icy circumstances then the thoughts by itself will become less because of frozen brain, hahaha. Somebody from behind was pushing me forward and I saw the guard was pointing at me and an other person to enter the Mc Heaven. Passing the guards with the Kalaschnikows following the finger pointing of the soldier and was entering the warm.

My nose decide to start running like water pipe, to extreme the temperature difference from in and out. Inside other guards were doing their job to keep the mop quite and in nice order so no fighting during standing at the queue. Nose running, mouth watering and no also my eyes starting tears up. The Mc service were running to satisfy the massif order of the people who reach their goal after so many hours of waiting in minus degree. The goal i.e. counter was looking like every where on world, Mc Style. During the inside queue my order idea was changing every second, better take this with that or better take this with….more confusion then mental clarity what to take or better…? shut up frozen brain/mind, I´m just hungry my order should be warm and massif. Like it actually was when it was on me to order. After I figure out that around the half of the card was already off. Somehow I load my plate so full so hard to find any space between the colorful mountains of finger food with coffee. Like an artist I balancing my hunted food mountain between the crowd to find a space for me to fill my stomach. Lots of eyes were observing me or better the massif food mountain on my plate. When I reach a small space in a corner I was breathing out loud and was warming my fingers by crapping my coffee pot with both hands. The smell of my food mountain were entering my nose, this was a quite happy moment. Such a basic satisfaction food….hunger and it came in my mind what are around twenty hours of no food, hunger in comparison to really pures in Africa, Southamerica or in Asia. With this thought I took my Hamburger and chop my set of teeth into it, my social mind stops immediately because all my senses were now in my mouth during the Hamburger taste was exploding like a vulcan or firework. The humanity or social live or work is only in our mind if our basics are satisfied, hunger, thirst and so on. I heard it or read it somewhere but now it becomes reality for me. My stomach first then others this how the I and the my is working…..thank you Mc for the this perception.
