The use of paradox in Zen teaching is quite a normal way to do. It is to cut or destroy the normal intellect thinking. The question who a man really is can´t explained by words. The answer can be found only with the experience of intuitive knowledge. With help of paradoxes disciple can get leaded to the right path. A Zen master leads his followers and students into the truth. Sometime it is done by a single phrase who intuitive designed to destroy the student particular of so called demon of ignorance.
For those who discovered the nature of Reality, there is nothing old or new, concepts become meaningless and reason leads to error.
In Zen or Chan in Chinese therm there is the concept of sudden and complete enlightenment. It is possible here and now if you are able to release. To get it t is necessary to rise above such relative concepts as good and evil, sought and found,enlightened and unenlightened and all the rest of these kind of paradigm. In daoist therms it is be explained like before Yin Yang shows up or be one or also Wuji. Intuitive realization of the unity or of the Absolute means there is nothing to be attained, one does not enter Nirvana. Intuitive realization of oneness is like to enter the Nirvana there no other place to go or to enter. The one who have actually achieved these level are knowing about the impossibility of communicating it in words.
After around one hour queue up the service guy give me sign to enter the train restaurant. The smell of tea and coffee was entering the sense organ of my nose. The mouth starts watering because I did not have any food since at least my MC Donald experience in Moscow 24h ago. I took the place the service was showing me and luckily at the window. A yellowish paper with some Cyrillic letters on it get handed to me. A asking for a english menu card and the service man with a dirty uniform start laughing loud so guests were turning around to look at us. Ok, ok one american coffee I order first then some boiled eggs toast and porridge. A next loud laugher starts from the mouth of the service man. Now understood that he could not even speak english, how funny…
.So I started to make pantomime and played the role of a coffee bean, a smelling nose and a chicken who lay an egg under the wide open eyes of the other restaurant guests. The pantomime of the service shows me sorry no have…So looked around at the other tables in the restaurant and I see only soup terrine, any kind of chicken pieces so far I can see. One guest came to me who could talk a bit english. He told me that I can have anything I like but only made from chicken. I ask what? Yes anything but it must be made from chicken. Because the service bought luckily hundreds of chicken at the black market or farm and the cook now can prepare what ever I like from it. Even here on the train the effect lack of food we could sense. Actually we were lucky to have such clever service because they went by them self to the black food market or to some farmer to catch and buy what ever they could get. In our case chicken. My first order for breakfast on the transsiberian train then was two chicken legs and a pot russian tea. During my first bite into the chicken leg was thinking: „Ohhh ohhhh seven days all kinds of chicken menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner hopefully no chicken wings will crow on me…“
Practice, practice practice….is the important phrase in meditation. To understand deeply the meaning of it its necessary to follow the advice. Of course different people start to practice meditation because of different aims. The aims can be following:
- learn to relax
- understand yourself better
- learn to control your mind / emotions
- as a stress resolver
Just to name only few. There is almost in every culture a kind of meditation practice in very big variation of depth and or needs of the difference of humans. But I can say in around 30 years of my meditation journey in comparison there are mainly three levels of in almost all mediation practice.
- the relax level
- self understanding level
- be one with God, Goddess, Buddha, Allah, Manitu, Cosmos or the one and so on
So many humans with so many different needs thats why are so many several meditation arts existing. The motivation to bring individual needs into action can be quite varied. A friend was telling you about, you read a book or journal where mediation gets explained for what it is good for. If you start to search for a meditation seminar to learn it or looking for schools or master to practice it then you can actually say the friend or the book / journal is/ was your first spirituell guide. The friend or the book or journal writer was opening a new way to live or act the world and or looking behind the mind limitation. Opening ones spirituell path is a like to create a good karma for yourself. Bring humans to a deeper understanding by experience not by thinking only is quite a high level good action. My first spirituell guide was Herman Hesse with the book „Siddhartha“. Once in while I take it this 30 year old book who is yellowish by age already with coffee and food spots on it smelling like historical looking at it and saying by heart thank you.

When you start to meditate and you lower your eyelids no separation of spirit and intension is needed. The separation starts only when movement and stillness begin to follow each other. Meaning is the stillness (non action) is coming from the spirit and the intension works through action. The spirit can accomplish everything in its non action. The spirit is the ruler of action but does not move in its original. Intension by the other hand moves and is directing the spirit. For true intuition to emerge spirit and right intention must work together. To reach the goal you must extinguish all thoughts.
Practice mindfulness every day until it is becoming like to brush one´s teeth. Mind creates reality you chosen to see things good or bad positive or negative. Meditation is a good tool to be aware of our mindset all day long.
Breath in and out ….thats it and don´t forget to smile
Back from washing room I was climbing up to my bed under the celling. Actually you could only can lay down on the upper bed the space for a sit was to little. Between the train sound I could hear the breath of my cabin crew. Once in a while my head get bounced against the cabin wall when train the track wasn´t in good condition – means often bämm, bämm. So during night I trained iron head hahaha even did not know about. My thoughts were running here and there and somehow I fall to sleep. I woke up because of the action of my cabin neighbors everybody very active beside me. My head felt like concrete the air in the cabin felt like zero oxygen. I remember now no way to open the windows. One night no oxygen what then about the other seven days came in my mind. Outside of the cabin I saw very busy people running forward backward loaded with towels and the morning toilette only one small washing room for one coach. So queue up for it is now normal and I should get use to it to spend at least 35 – 45 minutes if I´m lucky. After I finished my washing room action I decide to go for a good breakfast.
The pocket full of black market Rubel I will go now for a king breakfast so my thoughts. Happy that the KGB gave me all the black changed money fully back. The walk on the corridor was a small adventure. Most people standing there to chat or were looking out of window. Between the coaches the smokers were meeting for cigarettes in the small very cold area. The only space were it was allowed to smoke. „But first my king breakfast „I was telling the guys who like to invite me for a cigarette. Not as easy the talk because so many nations with different languages and or strange sounding a accents. After a round 30 Minutes walk in one direction I figure out it was the wrong side yeah….all the way back. Hellooo here helloooo there on my way back and again same question about „hey have cigarette together“. Aiaia what they calling cigarettes was looking very strange in their mouth and was smelling uhhhh. They calling them „Papirossa“, more paper or filter then tobacco. First time I saw and was smelling them. My stomach was already like a musician. Music like sound I heard from the abdominal area. All together It tool around 1h to find the so called restaurant couch. And of course a queue. Meanwhile I was observing the landscape by looking out of the window….I can say very exciting ….white and more white and not to forget a bit white in it…
